[12/11/08] By first time in its history, Galiza was represented at "Atlantic Waves " music festival, the showcase for Portuguese and Brazilian folk music in the UK. After 14 years, this international event, organized by the Gulbenkian Foundation, invited Galician artists to play their creations and share the stage with Portuguese and Brazilian players.

[12/11/08] Galiza was one of the protagonists at Womex ’08, the International World Music Festival. Galiza was designated a "focus country" and set up a stand with 17 companies and two associations from the cultural sector, and celebrated the "Galician focus night" with the performances from Xosé Manuel Budiño, Narf and Mutenrohi. Galicia will attend Womex for the second year in a row. However, this time will be different, since GalicianTunes is labeled 'Special Focus' at the Sevillian fair. This makes Galicia the only country that will place three of its artists on stage: Narf, Xosé Manuel Budiño and Mutenrohi. The international music market meets one of its essential events of the year at Midem. The city of Cannes will host this new edition aiming to exceed last year's excellent participation numbers: 9.000 participants, 4.500 companies and 2.200 stands attended Midem 2008.
